Triply-Periodic Minimal Structures: Characterization and Optimization

The current scope of this project is characterize and recommend certain TPMS types for specific engineering and materials science applications. While the adoption of TPMS structures in engineering has seen significant increase since the 2010’s, it often times seems like there is little criteria for the selection process, and the same subset of TPMS involving Schwarz-P, Gyroid, Diamond, and maybe a few others are employed. The main goal of this first stage in the project is to broaden the use of all TPMS structures and provide guidelines for their selection.
